FAQs

What are the signs of a good plumber?

To find a reliable and trustworthy plumber, look for one with a strong web presence and evidence of reviews from other customers. You should also look for a plumber that is responsive, as this is a good indicator that they will be reliable. A free callout service is a great way to get a feel for a plumbing company before deciding if they are right for you. Plumbers should have a uniform identifying their company and carry ID. They should also carry a current Gas Safe ID card if they will be working on gas appliances in your home.

What plumbing services do you offer?

We offer a wide range of plumbing services, perfect for residential and commercial customers. From plumbing emergencies like burst pipes and blocked drains, to routine work like central heating maintenance, we can handle it all. We’re also skilled kitchen and bathroom fitters, so we can help to bring your vision for a stunning new home to life. If something is amiss with your plumbing or central heating, you don’t have to know what the issue is before you call us. Simply get in touch and let our team get to the heart of the problem during your free callout.

Do you offer emergency plumbing callouts?

Yes, if you’re struggling with a plumbing emergency, we can certainly help. We offer same-day callouts whenever possible, and can help to guide you through safeguarding measures in the meantime to prevent further damage. So, if you have a leaking pipe, a blocked toilet or drain, or if your boiler has stopped working, our team can quickly help to put things right. Callouts are available 24 hours a day, so you don’t have to wait until the next day to address the issue.

How long does a new bathroom installation take?

This all depends on the complexity of the design and if you are changing the layout or simply replacing like-for-like. If you decide to choose us for your bathroom installation, we’ll give you a clearer picture of how long you can expect this to take before we get started. This will be included in your quote so you will know exactly what to expect. A new bathroom can typically take 1-3 weeks to complete.

What should I do if I have a burst pipe?

To prevent further damage to your home from a burst pipe, we recommend the following steps. First, identify the stop cock that controls the water supply to your home. Switch this off to stop the flow of water. Next, you’ll need to drain your system by switching on the taps in your home. These will eventually run dry. Be sure to turn them to the off position again, or they will start flowing when the water supply to your home is restored. Finally, you should also turn off the electricity before you call an emergency plumber. This will help to avoid injury or damage from water reaching electrical outlets.
